13 - Only Worship God
Minister: So, what other questions do you have?
Conley: One thing I was wondering: do you believe we should worship Jesus?
Minister: Yes, we should.
Conley: I agree we should worship Jesus, but I want to know why you worship him if you don't believe he is God. As Jesus himself said, "It is written 'You shall worship the Lord your God, and Him only shall you serve.' (Luke 4:8)
Minister: We worship Jesus because the bible says to worship him.
Conley: But Jesus commands us to only worship God. It would only make sense to worship Jesus if He were God. I worship Him too, but I worship Him because He is God.
Only God deserves worship (Exodus 34:14) + Jesus deserves worship (Hebrews 1:6, Revelation 5:13-14) = Jesus is God
Conley: If the bible says only God deserves worship, that means we should worship no one but God. If the bible also says to worship Jesus, that must mean Jesus is God!
1. Ano pa ba ang iba mong mga katanungan? 2. Naniniwala po ba kayo na dapat po ba nating sambahin si Cristo? 3. Aba’y dapat. 4. Ako’y umamayon na tayong lahat ay dapat sumamba kay Cristo Jesus. Pero gusto ko pong malaman na kung kayo ay sumasamba kay Cristo, bakit kayo hindi naniniwala na siya ay Diyos? Sinabi mismo ni Jesus “…Nasusulat, Sa Panginoon mong Diyos sasamba ka, at siya lamang ang iyong paglilingkuran.” (Lucas 4:8) 5. Sinasamba naming si Jesus dahil sinasabi ng biblia na siya ay sambahin. 6. Pero inutos din po sa atin ni Jesus na tao ay sumamba lamang sa Diyos. Ito’y nangangahulugan na sasambahin natin si Cristo dahil siya ay Diyos. Sa katunayan sinasamba ko Siya dahil Siya ay Diyos. Nakasaad sa Kolosas 2:9 “Sapagka't sa kaniya'y (Jesus) nananahan ang buong kapuspusan ng pagka Diyos sa kahayagan ayon sa laman” 7. Kung sinasabi sa biblia na ang Diyos lamang ang dapat sambahin, ibig sabihin dapat sumasamba lamang ayo sa Kanya. Kung sinasabi din sa biblia na sambahin si Jesus, nangangahulugan na si Jesus ay Diyos!
